Having friends over to watch the Nebraska versus Texas game. I took this photo at an actual game. Yes, I am a Texan, but I have to root for Nebraska - Scott's mood for the whole weekend is determined by the game's outcome. Go Huskers!
Taking a pole dancing class? Yes, I am. For a friends birthday surprise party we are all going to an "Into. to Pole" class here. Guess I am expanding my skill set...Happy weekend girls! Wish I was spending it with you!

Do you own shoes like above for your class? If so, please tell me why you own Lucite shoes? If not, do you rent them at the class? I have really always wanted to try that! There is a place right by my house, so depending on your review, I just might sign up...

Hilarious.
So - a girlfriend of mine runs a pilates studio here in town. One of her clients (and a guy we all know pretty well - it is a small town you know?) owns all of the "high class" strip joints in New Orleans. He & his wife are totally nice & totally preppy - you would never think they own strip clubs. Anyway, John is always trying to get my friend to start offering pole dancing classes as part of her pilates offerings - thinking it would be a hit here & make her lots of money.
So - all that said, let us know how the class goes. If you like it, maybe I will convince her to give it a try.
Another girlfriend got a pole for a wedding present (crazy, I know) - so, we have at least one pole to get the class started with.
I do not have Lucite heels for the class. Darn. We are supposed to wear work out clothes and high heals. Knee pads are recommended. Very funny. I will give you an update after the class. Should be entertaining.
Full report on the pole dancing: It was SO FUN. We arrived to a studio with disco ball and poles. Our instructor was super nice and a great dancer. They had a whole wall of platform huge heels to pick out. I wore Lucite ones with socks. :) I have HUGE respect for people who are good at the pole dancing. You do lifts, backbends, twirly things, etc. IT IS HARD! I am still sore. We had 7 girls and 1 guy at the party. So fun. Champagne and wine were served since it was a private party. We are now thinking of trying the advanced pole class. Scary! SO FUN!!
Um - love it. Not offered here y-e-t. Sent this to my friend Peiper to see if she would really consider doing this in her pilates studio. Could be fun & funny. Dig.
