Arizona + Wine = Good

Blood into Wine is about winemakers in Jerome, Arizona .  The twist - it focuses on the lead singer from Tool -  who made a big move from CA to AZ to pursue his new calling.  It is pretty good (and free on Netflix).  My favorite parts are the shots of Arizona.  The opening credits are lovely.  In the film - I could have sworn he said he had a wine called "Sonchia" - but I have failed to find it online.

Inspiration...

Wishing this were my kitchen - at least for today. Who wants to come over for dinner? On the menu, those artichokes on the table. My favorite food. Done.

This weekend...

Sometimes I feel like the luckiest girl - for such a tiny town we get pretty wonderful music right here in Telluride. This weekend is Wine Fest. Yes - lovely - wine, but what I dig even more than the wine (gasp, could anything be better than wine?) is the great music the festival decided to bring into town this weekend. Rebecca introduced us to Blitzen Trapper last year & now I get to see them live right here in Telluride's Town Park. Wish you all could join me this weekend for wine & music. Check out the full line up of music here.

I want...

How lovely are these? I am totally into carafes. I have one on my nightstand that I use on a daily basis. I dig these too - how great would it be to serve OJ for Sunday brunch in the large glass version?

Wine time

[photo taken in Time Market, Tucson]

I wrote here about judging books by their covers - and I do the same thing about wine labels. I totally buy wines that I think have great label designs. Here are some of my favorite labels (and they taste good too!).
Cheers!

Question

When you all entertain, how formal are you? Do you all use place cards - ever? Our table only fits six - tightly - and it is round, so it is typically a free for all. I am sure that one day I will be "grown up" enough to use placeholders - and when I do, these are simply lovely. From Timeless Paper.

Wine Cellar

Thank you to my friend Dennis for sending this link for an amazing wine cellar. Love this design...and would love to have a wine cellar like this! (From Dornob Design Ideas Daily).
