So Fake...

So, what is the consensus about fake flowers? I absolutely loathe fake flowers personally. I have actually had nightmares about purchasing silk stems - which Justin teases me about often. Living where I do, we are buried under snow for a good majority of the year. I have some houseplants, but I really enjoy the color of fresh cut flowers - something not readily available here. So, again, what is the thought behind having some sort of alternative in the winter months? Any ideas?

I think if you have something season-less then they can be ok, Roses, tulips..... You can get really realistic looking stuff** but it is so weird when it doesn't wilt or die.

You know what they call the fake water "in the industry?"...."Liquid Illusion"...amazing.

** Full disclosure: This is one of the areas I buy ** I could never have it in my house because of that.

Look at this stuff....it looks so real in person you honestly have to smell it to know (or try to stick your finger in the water)

I am a fan of the faux succulent/agave, and the faux orchid

Oh wow. totally look real. My grandma used to have super fake looking flowers in house, but I think if done right (i.e. not the super fake looking ones) it can be good. Something subtle.
