Snail Mail

Look at what arrived in the mail today! Sweet Papery makes the cutest custom stamps - get your own here. This should make bill paying (and yes, I still pay all my bills by hand) a lot more fun.

Guess you all now have my mailing address. Oops.

Mirror Mirror...on MY wall...

This mirror has hit the blogs hard lately...the Peacock or Honeycomb...or what have you. I used to go to Neiman Marcus when they had a Kelly Hoppen section of home goods. There was an antique I would literally stare at and conspire how to get (sell my soul, body....clothes on ebay...) What I would have done.

So, then I have been seeing a few of my favorites posting on this mirror from Pier 1. I don't shop there...haven't been in one for years. Something about papasan chairs that I really have a thing against. Long story short (and calls made to Pier 1's in my area with no luck)...I sent Sue to the Pier 1 in Abilene. The mirror will be here by Friday! OMG...

Wedding Party Bike Procession

All I can say is WOW.  We went to the most amazing wedding reception last night.  It began with a Bike Procession from the couple's house to the party site (at MOCA - Tucson's Museum of Contemporary Art).  At the party there was a huge grass area to picnic and enjoy the food from Pico de Gallo.  The party had ping-pong, a photo booth, mariachi band and great company.  Check out the video of our ride to the reception below.

Pinky Beige and Drip Marks....

We are moved...and this new place is going to be a bigger project than anticipated. I have been going nuts over what color to paint....and the fact that the longer we are here, the more it is evident that we need to paint the entire place...ceilings and all.

Above: 2nd Bathroom....right now it is purple. Soon I think it will be #2. "Dolphin"

Above and Below...Color for Walls, and color for back wall and fireplace....Leaning towards #1 "Paper Mache" above and #2 " Dolphin" below...thoughts?

Below is a little sneak peek...and a major "before" There were vertical blinds on these sliders, which are now gone :). Plan is to paint the fireplace and wall with the sliders the same color, and finish out the rest in a clean white.

Who knows anything about painting ceilings?

This weekend...

This weekend has all of the sudden opened up - I was to hang with one of my favorite pregnant ladies, but lo and behold, someone went into labor on their due date. Anyway, now I am trying to figure out what to do with my weekend. Two options that will most likely prevail are the Norwood Horse Races & the Telluride Balloon Festival. Both are fun & amazing events. It happens to be hot, hot, hot here as well (though it snowed less than two weeks ago) - so, maybe we will try to squeeze in some water action somewhere. Also, grilling, cleaning house, and general mayhem. Sigh - is it 5:00 PM yet? What are YOU up to this weekend?
