The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Les Parapluies de Cherbourg) a French musical made in 1964 is a must see for any design/fashion/color/geek. It is lovely. The wallpaper in the movie matches the characters' outfits. I thought of you Sonchia because of your love of the wallpaper (here here and here ). The outfits are amazing. This movie was luckily playing for free at The Loft in Tucson. My suggestion - rent with girlfriends and "ooh" and "aah" over all the beauty!

Rebecca is right - it was stunning. Everything look sbleak after a few hours of eye-popping color and foxy French lads and lasses. What she didn't mention is that all of the dialogue is sung! Bizarre and hilarious.
Adding it to Netflix now! Looks uh-mazing.
